Through the Children’s Ministries of First United Methodist Church, we hope to begin building a foundation for faith within each child that we are entrusted with. We hope to assist parents in teaching their children the stories of our faith, to pray, and to connect with God and with others through Worship and Bible Study.
Feel free to involve your child in one of our many great Children’s Ministry activities:

Adult Sunday School Classes
We are a Class in our early 40’s to early 60’s. We typically use studies from RightNow Media.
We watch a short video lesson and discuss the lesson.
We are a group in our early to late 40’s. Our study and discussion typically rotates around topical Bible lessons, Marriage studies, or Parenting studies.
Join us upstairs across from the K – 1st Grade Class.
Susan Davidson leads us in a topical book study that helps us grow in our faith as well as live out our faith on a daily basis.
Singles, couples, all ages are welcome as we study the Bible following Cokesbury’s Adult Bible Study Series. The class often compares different translations of the Bible as we study and discuss together. The class really teaches the lesson through discussion by those who choose to speak and share. Come join us in singing hymns led by a vocalist and pianist.
Upper Room Class
We’re a group of individuals (mostly grandparents) who enjoy a discussion based approach to Biblical study and fellowship with one another. We study published Sunday School literature and/or topical Bible lessons.
We meet every Sunday in the first classroom downstairs in the educational wing. Newcomers are encouraged to join us!
Hughes Class is more of a lecture style class that is broadcast on the radio (10:00 – 10:30 AM on 96.1 FM)
